Dubai, Jan. 27 (SANA) Thirty-nine Syrian food companies are participating in Gulfood 2026, one of the world’s largest and most influential food and beverage exhibitions, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Manhal al-Fares, director of the Syrian Local Production and Exports Support and Development Authority, emphasized the importance of Syria’s presence at the event. He described Gulfood as a major gateway to global markets and a strategic platform for promoting Syrian products. The Syrian pavilion spans 852 square meters.
Al-Fares told SANA on Tuesday that the exhibition provides Syrian food producers with valuable opportunities to sign export agreements and contracts with companies from dozens of countries. He added that the event is expected to boost production and expand Syrian exports to Arab, African, Asian, and European markets.
Representatives of the Syrian companies said they aim to establish new partnerships with the approximately 150 countries participating in this year’s edition of the exhibition, as the country’s economy begins to recover after years of conflict and the lifting of Western sanctions.
