Ankara, Jan. 23 (SANA)Turkish exports to Syria recorded significant growth in 2025, reaching $2.568 billion, an increase of 69.6 percent compared to the previous year.
According to Anadolu Agency, data from the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) showed that exports to Syria witnessed a remarkable leap compared to 2024, when trade value stood at $1.514 billion. The report noted that this increase reflects the stability and notable development of bilateral trade activity.
Council data indicated that the grains, legumes, oilseeds, and processed products sector topped the list of exports with a value exceeding $700 million, followed by chemicals and derivatives at $299 million, and the electricity and electronics sector at $224 million.
Celal Kadooglu, head of Syrian trade affairs at the Turkish Exporters Union, explained that this increase is the result of ongoing institutional coordination. He stressed that the Syrian market now attracts products from various Turkish production centers and is no longer limited to border regions.
Kadooglu added that enhanced stability in the region has contributed to building strong and long-term economic relations, noting that reintegrating Syria into regional trade networks opens broader trade routes toward Gulf and African markets.
