Damascus, Jan.15 (SANA) Syria’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Nidal al-Shaar, met on Wednesday with Marion Weichelt Krupski, Head of the Swiss Mission in Damascus, to discuss ways to support Syria’s economic recovery and strengthen bilateral economic ties.
Talks focused on developing economic relations between the two countries and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting included a review of Syria’s current economic conditions and the challenges facing the country, as well as potential areas of support and possible Swiss contributions to help stimulate economic recovery and boost productive activity.
Al-Shaar emphasized the importance of developing partnerships that support economic stability, serve shared interests, and advance development efforts.
The Swiss diplomat stressed the need to enhance economic cooperation to contribute to recovery efforts and help revitalize the Syrian economy.
The meeting comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to expand cooperation with international partners and activate development-oriented economic partnerships aimed at supporting sustainable growth and strengthening economic stability in Syria.
