Sofia, Jan. 1 (SANA) Bulgaria joined the Eurozone and adopted the Euro as its official currency, becoming the 21st member.

The move comes at a time when many Bulgarians fear it could trigger an inflationary spiral. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, stated on Wednesday that the Euro will bring tangible benefits to Bulgarian citizens and businesses.
