Riyadh, Dec.15 (SANA) A Syrian government delegation led by Qutaiba Ahmed Badawi, head of the General Authority for Ports and Customs, participated in the Northern Borders Investment Forum 2025 held in the Saudi city of Arar.
The forum brought together government representatives and private-sector leaders to present investment opportunities in the Northern Borders Region and examine avenues for strengthening economic and development cooperation.
In remarks delivered at the event, Badawi underscored the importance of expanding investment partnerships, noting that ports and logistics services constitute a central driver of economic growth and trade facilitation.
The Syrian delegation said its participation reflects Syria’s interest in deepening regional cooperation and promoting investment in logistics and border services, sectors viewed as critical to boosting trade and economic integration.
Saudi ministers, senior officials, industry experts, and business executives were in attendance at the forum, which was convened under the patronage of Northern Borders Governor Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan and Investment Minister Abdulaziz Al-Falih.
