Syrian-Austrian-German Economic Forum to Open Monday in Damascus

The Syrian-Austrian-German Economic Forum 2025 is set to open Monday in Damascus, bringing together business leaders and officials to discuss investment opportunities and economic cooperation.

The event, organized by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce in partnership with the Austrian-Arab Chamber of Commerce and the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be held at the Golden Mezze Hotel under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

Sessions will focus on Syria’s Investment Law, outlining incentives and facilities available to investors, as well as potential projects in energy, water, and electricity production. Discussions will also address the role of transportation and communication infrastructure in boosting trade and development, along with partnership opportunities in healthcare services, medical equipment, and digital transformation.

The forum will conclude with a panel on reconstruction and urban development.

Organizers say the event aims to highlight investment prospects across Syria’s productive and service sectors, foster business collaboration with Austrian and German firms, and promote technology transfer and sustainable economic growth.

They also describe the forum as a platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors, offering a venue to exchange views on investment conditions, economic reforms, and emerging opportunities that could strengthen Syria’s position as a promising destination for regional investment.
