Qatar Development Fund: Advancing Energy Investment to Support Syria’s recovery

Fahad Hamad Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development, affirmed that the fund is actively implementing its humanitarian strategy and investing in Syria’s energy sector to bolster the country’s economic and service recovery.

Al-Sulaiti Said in an interview with “CNN Economic” on the sidelines of the golden jubilee celebration of the Arab Coordination Group in Washington that Qatar Development Fund has focused on providing a suitable living environment in Syria; as it is an important country and its stability contributes to the stability of the Middle Eastern countries.”

He added that the energy sector has been the starting point and the most important short-term investment for Syria’s stability, and long-term for development by supporting electricity for schools, factories and health centers.
