Turkish economy grows 4.8% in Q2, beating expectations

Turkish economy grows 4.8% in Q2, beating expectations

Ankara, SANA- Turkey’s economy posted a 4.8% annual growth rate in the second quarter of 2025, exceeding expectations.

Anadolu Agency quoted the Turkish Statistical Institute as saying that the Turkish economy continued its growth trend for the 20th consecutive quarter, with the second-quarter GDP growing by 1.6% compared to the previous quarter.

Economists polled earlier by Anadolu Agency had forecast annual growth of 3.87 percent in Q2, making the outcome significantly stronger than anticipated.
