Minister al-Shaar: We are rebuilding the economy with a new mindset

Damascus, SANA-Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry,Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar, affirmed that developing production tools in Syria requires a shift in economic thinking.

In an interview with the Syrian News Channel, Minister al-Shaar pointed out that the unemployment rate in Syria is very high, and eliminating it requires the creation of broad job opportunities.

Al-Shaar revealed that work has begun to establish an authority for small and medium enterprises. He explained that the ministry is working to secure the necessary funding and qualified personnel to support these projects, contributing to the enhancement of local production and the creation of new job opportunities.

He also noted that several companies have already started operating within Syria, expressing hope that the Damascus International Fair will help attract more investors and boost confidence in Syria’s economic environment.

The minister concluded by affirming that the Syrian government encourages the return of all investors and provides them with full support to ensure the success and stability of their projects, as part of a comprehensive national vision to rebuild Syria’s economy.
