Damascus, SANA- Dr. Wajid Fawzy, the Indonesian ambassador in Syria, asserted that the Indonesian participation in Damascus International Fair is proof of its will to enhance economic relations with Syria and its desire to develop cooperation in various aspects.
The ambassador noted in a statement to SANA that the fair is an important platform for businessmen in both countries and opens promising prospects for enhancing investments in various fields.
For her part, the Head of the Department of Economy and Trade at the Indonesian Embassy, Respati Andriani, noted that the 62nd Damascus International Fair was distinguished by its high-level organization and international, Arab, and local participation that reflects a more recent importance, noting that Indonesia’s participation in the fair reflects its economic and tourism potential, especially since it is considered one of the countries with major economies in the world, and the opportunities are very promising to develop relations with Syria.
Andriani pointed out that the volume of trade exchange between Indonesia and Syria reached “17” million dollars during the past year and that her country aspires to develop it to higher levels.
