The Syrian contribution featured displays of traditional clothing, popular dishes and a dedicated pavilion of heritage items reflecting Syrian identity and cultural traditions.

Abdelkhaleq Suleiman, a participant, said a group of Syrian youth showcased items representing customs and traditions, along with pieces carrying emotional significance linked to memories of their homeland. He noted that the Syrian pavilion attracted a large number of visitors, exceeding expectations.

Farah, from the “Abjad” initiative that organized the festival, said the event aims to introduce diverse cultures, particularly Syrian culture, and to strengthen interaction among young people from different backgrounds, helping to counter discrimination and encourage cultural exchange.

She added that the festival brought together various cultures, including Kurdish, Afghan, Ukrainian, German and Romanian, among others.

Serein, a Syrian resident in Germany, expressed her appreciation for the event, noting that the Syrian section included heritage exhibits such as a model of Deir Ezzor bridge, which helped connect members of the Syrian community with their cultural memory.

The festival reflects the role of cultural initiatives in highlighting the diversity of Syrian heritage and supporting communication and mutual understanding between communities.
