President al-Sharaa and the Iraqi Prime Minister discuss regional developments

Damascus, Feb. 28 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a telephone conversation on Saturday with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, during which the two leaders discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the escalating tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran and their repercussions the security and stability of the region.

The two sides underscored the importance of strengthening joint security coordination in a manner that safeguards the security of both brotherly countries and supports regional stability.

They also highlighted the need to prioritize dialogue and political solutions to spare the peoples of the region further tension and escalation.
