Damascus, SANA , Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Maollem received Thursday a Czech parliamentary delegation headed by Zuzka Bebarova Rujbrova.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in Syria and the region and the importance of continuing contacts between Syrian and Czech parliamentarians due to their important role in developing the bilateral friendly relations in all domains.
Minister al-Moallem talked about developments of the situation in Syria under the terrorist war that has been waged against Syria for six years by some regional and international countries that sponsor terrorism, the unjust economic sanctions imposed on it and the terrorist attacks against its infrastructures.
He affirmed the steadfastness of Syrian people and army, stressing that victory over Takfiri terrorism is close.
Al-Moallem appreciated the position of the Czech Republic and the visit of the delegation representing the Czech people, indicating that Syria is looking forward to deepen its relations with the Czech.
He emphasized the important role of the delegation’s members to clarify the facts of what is going on in Syria to the Czech people away from what has been circulated by some media, which are involved in the conspiracy hatched against Syria.
In turn, Rujbrova hoped that peace and security will return to Syria.
She said that her country will continue to grant humanitarian aid to the friendly Syrian people.
Rujbrova added that the delegation will convey to the Czech people the true image of what is happening in Syria and the suffering of the Syrian people, calling for strengthening bilateral relations in the various fields.
