Damascus, SANA – Information Minister Mohammad Ramez Tourjman said that the United States is waging a proxy war using Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization, which is why the US cannot attack it or separate it from the “opposition.”
In an interview given to Sputnik news agency published on Friday, Tourjman said that there’s a connection between al-Nusra and the US due to the new American policy in the region which is proxy war.
He noted that Washington has two arms in the region; one of them is ISIS, which it cannot openly declare its relationship with, and the other is al-Nusra.
The Minister noted that the US tried to prop up al-Nusra by changing its name to “Jabhat Fateh al-Cham” but terrorists are identified by their actions and not by their names.
