Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will gradually rise but remain 3 to 6 degrees below average as the country is affected by low air pressure accompanied by northwestern air currents.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that there will be a chance of rain showers over al-Jazira and the eastern areas, as the rainfalls will be heavy and sometimes accompanied by thunder.
The winds will be northwesterly of light to moderate speed, and the sea waves will be low in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 19/08, Daraa 18/08, Homs 19/07, Hama 22/08, Hasaka 22/07, Lattakia 21/12, Aleppo 20/09 and Deir Ezzor 24/08.
