Graduation of a new batch of self-protection squads in Qamishli

Hasaka, SANA – A second batch of self-protection squads in Qamishli city in the northeastern Hasaka province graduated on Tuesday.

The group included 243 state employees from various departments in the province.

The participants carried out a live ammunition exercise through which they showed a high level of preparedness to perform their national duty to defend the homeland against terrorism alongside the army.

During the graduation ceremony, Hasaka governor Eng. Mohammad Ali Zaal said the military training courses of self-protection are continuing with the aim to qualify members who able to use weapons in support of the army and help in maintaining security and stability in areas over which the army establishes control.

The first self-protection squads course in Qamishli was completed on February 21st involving 224 participants.
