Havana, SANA –Cuban President Raul Castro reiterated his country’s rejection of foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs, asserting that the Syrian people’s right “in the search for a worthy way out” of the crisis with the participation of the legitimate authorities of Syria without outside interference and with preserving the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
This came during closed session of the Cuban National Assembly of People’s Power, in which Castro said that the NATO’s destabilizing actions and its “surrogate warfare” have led to conflicts and poverty that triggered the flows of migrants and refugees in the Middle East and North Africa.
He also criticized the US and European policies of unilateral sanctions against Russia, saying such policies will create greater instability and uncertainty in the region.
