Provinces, SANA – The army achieved advance in pursuing ISIS terrorists in Hasaka, killed and injured a large number of them and other terrorist organizations’ members in many areas across the country.
Damascus Countryside
A military source announced on Tuesday afternoon that the last of the concentrations of terrorists in al-Zabadani plain southwest of Damascus city have been eliminated.
The source told SANA that Syrian Arab Army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance, established full control over the entirety of al-Zabadani plain, which has an overall area of around 60 square kilomteters, after eliminating large numbers of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and “Ahrar al-Cham Islamic Movement” terrorist organizations.
The source said that full control has been established over Barada road, which is located in the southwestern part of the plain and which had been a vital movement and supply route for terrorists in the area, adding that this step contributed to establishing control over the southern entrances of al-Zabadani city, and limits the terrorists’ ability to move and maneuver.
The source also said that a workshop for manufacturing explosive devices was destroyed during canvassing operations in al-Zabadani plain, and that several IEDs planted by terrorists have been found, with engineering units dismantling dozens of IEDs, some of which had a yield of around 1 ton.
Earlier, a military source said that an army unit repelled terrorist groups that tried to attack a military post in the countryside of al-Zabadani city, killing most of the attacking terrorists including Wassim Ashour, Rami al-Zughbi, Abad al-Ali Kamal-Eddin, Mohammad Fawaz al-Err, Ali al-Shibli and Mustafa Ahmad al-Durra al-Fallah.
The Army’s Air Force also carried out airstrikes targeting hideouts and concentrations of Jabhat al-Nusra and affiliated terrorist groups in al-Zabadani city, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and equipment.
In the same context, the army air force destroyed a den with self-claimed leaders of terrorist groups inside it in Jobar neighborhood in Damascus Countryside.
Two armed terrorist organizations’ heavy machineguns-equipped vehicles were destroyed in the army air force strikes against their gatherings in Bir Tamr in Abu al- Shamat area in the countryside of Damascus.
Daraa
An army unit bombarded an armed terrorist group in al-Ghariyeh al-Sharqiyeh in the northeastern countryside of the southern province of Daraa, killing all its members, including the group’s self-claimed leader Ibrahim Ghazaleh, nicknamed Abu Shahab.
The source added that a number of the terrorist organizations’ members killed an injured in the army precise operations against their hideouts in the village of Kharab al-Shahem.
Deir Ezzor
An army unit destroyed an armored vehicle belonging to ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor Airport, killing all those on board.
Hasaka
Army units assumed control of the vicinity of the vegetables company and a number of building blocks surrounding the cemetery at the outskirts of Ghweiran neighborhood in Hasaka city after inflicting heavy losses upon the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)terrorists organization in personnel and equipment, field sources in Hasaka told SANA Tuesday.
The sources added that the Army units, in cooperation with the national supportive groups, continued their precise operations against ISIS hideouts in the Industrial Institute, Schools gathering, Transport Department, Water Projects vicinity towards al-Zuhour neighborhood and the Youth Housing.
The sources said that the clash, erupted Monday night, resulted in the killing of a number of ISIS terrorists in al-Nashwa al-Sharqiyeh, in parallel with the army continued operations against the terrorists’ hideouts in al-Nashwa Vellat, al-Sharia, al-Zuhour neighborhood, asserting that the army was able to completely paralyzing the movement of the terrorist organization in the areas.
In the eastern part, of Hasaka city, the national supportive groups in the area detonated a car bomb for ISIS terrorists before reaching al-Falaha neighborhood, killing the suicidal terrorist who was driving it and causing material dame at the area.
Homs
An army unit destroyed a vehicle equipped with a machine gun and killed a number of terrorists and injured others in the vicinity of al-Heir al-Gharbi Palace in the western countryside of Palmyra, a military source told SANA.
In the northern countryside of Palmyra, another army unit killed many of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in al-Sena’a area in al-Rastan, 20 km to north of Homs.
An army unit also targeted a group of ISIS terrorists, killing all its members north of the quarries in the countryside of Palmyra, Homs province.
Aleppo
A military source told SANA that army units destroyed terrorist hideouts in Deir Hafer, Manbej, Mayer, Kafr Hamra, Bianoun, Bani Zeid, al-Shwaihneh, Salah Eddin, Karm al-Trab, and al-Maiser in Aleppo and its countryside.
The source added that the army operations ended with the killing of a number of terrorists, the majority of them from Jabhat al-Nusra.
Lattakia
An army unit foiled an attempt by terrorist groups to infiltrate into al-Sindyan mountain in Lattakia northern countryside, killing a number of terrorists.
