Lattakia, SANA – Tishreen University in Lattakia province came out first in the Swimming and Athletics Championship for Universities and Institutes. The Championship, which was wrapped up Wednesday in the coastal province, saw the participation of 100 athletes from all around the country. Tishreen University team won the first place in the swimming competitions with 3 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals, followed by the team of Aleppo Institutes who earned 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals. The third place went to Aleppo University team with one bronze medal. Athletics witnessed a heated competition between the teams of Tishreen University and Aleppo Institutes, getting a gold and a silver medals each. However, Tishreen University team won by an additional bronze medal. Thus, Tishreen University team led the other teams with a total of 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
