Damascus, SANA- Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Maher al-Sharaa, met Sunday with representatives from the Shammout Trading Group to explore ways to enhance cooperation and support the healthcare sector.
During a meeting held Sunday at the Ministry of Health, Dr. al-Sharaa reviewed the current state of the healthcare sector and its needs.
He noted that the ministry’s current priorities include patients with kidney failure requiring dialysis, thalassemia patients, cancer patients, and equipping blood banks and ensuring a steady supply of liquid oxygen as part of a clear and comprehensive plan.
Dr. al-Sharaa emphasized the importance of cooperation with the local community and the private sector to support and develop the healthcare sector and provide the best medical services to citizens.
For his part, Head of the Shammout Group, Mohammad Anwar Shammout, affirmed the group’s commitment to providing support and contributing to charitable work.
He expressed the group’s readiness to participate and cooperate in any aspect that contributes to serving citizens and improving the health sector.
