Amman, SANA- Syria partook in the Sixth Arab Water Conference and the Sixteenth Session of the Arab Ministerial Water Council, which was launched today under the slogan “Governance towards achieving sustainable development in water,” at the Dead Sea area in Jordan.
The conference, in which a Syrian delegation participated headed by the Minister of Water Resources, Moataz Qattan, aims at finding appropriate solutions to the water crisis in the Arab region, reduce the impact of water scarcity on food and economic security, enhance cooperation between Arab countries on water issues.
