Damascus,SANA- Prime Minister Hussein Arnous met Sunday morning with Yuri Sluka ,the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus.
During the meeting, issues of enhancing and developing bilateral economic and trade cooperation were discussed in a way that achieves the common interest and contributes to confronting the Western pressures and blockade to which the two countries are exposed.
Arnous stressed the Syrian government’s keenness to provide all facilities and take the required measures to implement the agreements and understandings that were signed during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, to Syria.
For his part, the Belarusian ambassador expressed his country’s desire to expand the ties of joint cooperation to include all vital and important fields that serve the economic sectors of the two countries and achieve a remarkable step in the relations linking Syria and Belarus, indicating the readiness of Belarusian companies to contribute to the reconstruction in Syria.
Ambassador Sluka handed premier Arnous a message from his Belarusian counterpart, which included an invitation to visit Minsk and discuss ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and reach new agreements that achieve the common interests.
