SANA – Maj. General Mwaffaq Jom’aa was re-elected as Chairman of the General Sports Federation for a 5-year term during the activities of the 9th General Conference held in Damascus on Tuesday.
In a statement to SANA, Jom’aa said work will be concentrated on setting the appropriate plans to preserve the achievements accomplished by the Syrian sports in the last few years and increase the support provided to the local players, athletes and teams.
He said the Federation’s Executive Bureau will focus on caring for the local clubs and holding external camps for the local players.
Earlier on the day, the conference elected the 81-members of the central board.
