Army Chief of Staff inspects military units in Lattakia countryside

Lattakia, SANA- Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the army and armed  forces, Major General Ali Abdullah Ayoub, the army’s Chief of Staff, visited a number of military units and posts working in Lattakia northern countryside.

Accompanied by a number of the army’s officers, Major General Ayoub met the soldiers at their posts, conveying to them the amity and greetings of President al-Assad.

The field commanders briefed Ayoub on the process of combatant operations and the progress achieved by the military units in the region.

In turn, major general Ayoub appreciated the heroic acts of the army members and the success they gain against gangs of criminals which are supported by the Zionist entity and some regional regimes.

He also hailed the combatant spirit and high morals to which heroes of the army are enjoying against terrorist organizations.

For their part, the army’s soldiers affirmed their continuous readiness  to confront enemies of the Homeland and to offer their life for the sake of its dignity.
