Damascus, SANA-Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar said the events rocking the Syrian arena were whipped up by powers which are out for Syria’s destruction.
The minister said Syria has been a target of attempts by terrorist organizations which are executing US-Israeli schemes as a means to settle scores with Syria for its commitment to Arab just cause, particularly the Palestinian cause.
During his meeting with graduates from police training courses, al-Shaar affirmed Syria’s intent of fighting terrorism until security and stability are fully restored, indicating that the internal security forces have a proven record of steadfastness, side by side with the Syrian army, in the battle against terrorism.
He urged the graduates to treasure the values of discipline and order, calling for bridging the gaps between policemen and citizens.
