Iraq welcomes joint Syria-Saudi Arabia statement

Baghdad, SANA- Iraq has welcomed the Syrian-Saudi Arabian joint statement released at the conclusion of the visit of Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“Iraq hopes efforts of the two countries would boost solidarity among them in the service of the Arab joint action,” Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding that Iraq also welcomes any efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria.

“Baghdad will spare no effort for Syria’s return to the Arab environment,” the statement affirmed.

Syria and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday welcomed the beginning of procedures to resume the consular services and aerial flights between the two countries.
