Health Ministry receives batch of medicines provided by India

Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Health received Thursday a batch of medicines to treat cancer patients provided by the Indian government at the Embassy in Damascus.

“The Indian government provided two shipments of relief–the first on February the 8th and the second on 12th– containing essential relief items and medicines,” Chargé d’affaires of Indian Embassy in Damascus, Satinder Kumar Yadav said in a statement. “Likewise, the current shipment contains medicines for cancer patient as it will be followed by other relief shipments.”.

Yadav noted that the Indian government is closely following their needs of the Syrian society while calling for lifting the sanctions against Syria in international forums.
