Sabbagh: Terrorist war against Syria was because of its principled stance towards Palestinian Cause

Damascus, SANA- People’s Assembly Speaker, Hammouda Sabbagh, said that the events and terrorist war waged against Syria was because of its firm and principled stance towards the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s right to regain their occupied land, establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Sabbagh who met Head of Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh on Monday, stressed the importance of boosting cooperation between the Syrian and Palestinian parliaments in the interest of both peoples and in support of their just causes.

“Syria has been and still is ready to offer everything to support the Palestinian issue and restore the occupied Arab lands, on top, the occupied Syrian Golan,” Sabbagh said.

Fattouh, for his part, hailed the Syrian people’s resilience in the face of the terrorist war, affirming that Syria’s victory over terrorism is a victory for Palestine and the Arab nation as a whole.
