Government allocates SYP 1.820 billion for development in Daraa

Daraa, SANA, Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi announced that the government allocated SYP 1.820 billion to support development and service sectors in Daraa province.

The allocations were announced during al-Halaqi’s tour of Daraa province on Sunday, in which he inspected the progress of highschool and university exams in several exam centers and university branches.

The Prime Minister asserted that the government is committed to ensure the smooth progress off exams, listening to the comments of students on the exams’ questions and the atmosphere provided for them.

Al-Halaqi also toured the law, economy, literature, sciences, veterinarian departments and institutes of Daraa branch of Damascus University.

Afterwards, he visited Trivio electronics factory, a military site, and met with economic and social figures from Daraa, with the Premier answering their queries on various issues related to agriculture, water resources, petroleum, markets, electric power, medical services, housing centers, abductees, education, and people with special needs.

He noted that the government has provided over SYP 100 billion for relief work during the past three years, affirming commitment to increasing participation in relief in all areas and caring for the families of martyred and wounded army personnel.
