Sweida, SANA – A delegation from the French association SOS Chrétiens d’Orient (SOS Christians of the East) visited a number of religious figures in Sweida province as part of a tour in Syria.
Sheikh Akel of the Druze sect in Syria Yousef Jarbu said that all the Syrians have been targeted for the last four years of a fierce war that aims at fragmenting them, adding that the Syrians are united in their rejection of all forms of sedition.
Rev. Fadi Zyada of the Capuchin Fathers Church said that Syria is distinguished by its religious tolerance and coexistence among all of religious segments, adding that all the Syrians hope that this war will be over soon and security and stability will be restored posthaste.
In turn, Head of the delegation Benjamin Blanchard said that the visit aims at witnessing the reality of the vents in Syria as to inform the French public opinion, because Syria is a victim of terrorism that have been supported from abroad.
