Terrorists prevent aid distribution in Yarmouk Camp for second week

Damascus, SANA- Director of the General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) Ali Mustafa said that armed terrorist organizations continued to prevent aid convoys from reaching civilians trapped inside Yarmouk Camp in Damascus for the second week in a row.

Mustafa said in a statement to SANA that terrorists targeted the distribution site in Rama Street in the Camp with heavy gunfire and sniper rounds, forcing aid convoys and the GAPAR doctors and nurses to leave the site.

He said that the GAPAR and UNRWA will attempt to continue their work in the camp next Thursday.

Terrorists had prevented aid distribution in the Camp on Thursday and last Friday, firing mortar shells and sniper rounds at the distribution site, causing a fire in a nearby building.
