Aleppo, SANA – Al-Jalaa women’s basketball team took the lead in the first leg of Aleppo Gathering League Tournament after beating al-Itihad team 62-57.
Earlier, al-Jalaa team started the League’s games with a 67-36 win over al-Hurriyeh team and another 81-49 victory over al-Yarmouk team.
Al-Itihad team ranked second beating al-Yarmouk 74-61 and al-Hurriyeh 74-46, followed by al- Yarmouk that came in the third place with a single win over al-Hurriyeh 64-58.
Meanwhile, matches of the League Tournament for men kicked off at al-Assad Sports Hall in Aleppo with the participation of al-Itihad, al-Hurriyeh, al-Jalaa, al-Uroubeh, al-Yarmouk, al-Sikak and
al-Shahbaa.
