Syrian students in Cuba call for lifting coercive measures imposed on their country

Havana, SANA-  Syrian students in Cuba denounced the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on their country, calling upon the EU states to lift them and work on facilitating return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.

The students stressed, in a message handed by representatives of heads of National Union for Syrian Students to the Head of Political, Economic, Press and Communication Section at EU embassy in Havana, Andrea Rossi, that the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the US and the EU on Syrian people are economic terrorism targeting the livelihood of the Syrian people.

The students pointed out that most of the displaced Syrian people want to return to their homeland, after the Syrian state has prepared the necessary conditions for that, but many countries are hindering this return through imposing coercive economic measures against the Syrian.

The students called on the international community to work on facilitating return of those who have been displaced due to terrorism to their homeland.
