Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday arrested 50 Palestinians in the West Bank most of them are from Hebron City.
Maan News Agency reported that the occupation forces stormed Hebron and arrested 43 Palestinians, and they also stormed Bethlehem and Ramallah cities, and arrested 7 Palestinians.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club indicated in a statement that since the beginning of this year, the occupation forces have launched widespread arrest campaigns for the Palestinians in various cities and towns of the West Bank, especially Hebron, Jenin and occupied Jerusalem, where they arrested more than 3000 Palestinians in the West Bank during the period between January and last August.
The statement indicated that the arrest campaign carried on Tuesday is the largest since the beginning of this year, stressing that this escalation is a crime in light of the continuing spread of the Coronavirus pandemic and the increase in cases of people infected with the virus among the prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, which endangers their lives.
The statement added that the occupation authorities ignore all the continued Palestinian and international appeals and demands for the release of prisoners, especially those who are sick, and their response is always translated through arresting more Palestinians and transforming the pandemic into a tool of oppression and abuse.
