Capitals, SANA- More than 746,154 people worldwide have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic since the virus emerged in China late last year, according to US Worldometer’s COVID-19 data.
The website said Wednesday that more than 20,535,454 cases were registered across the world and 746,154 cases have passed away and 13,457,354 have recovered.
On Tuesday, Health Ministry announced that 72 new coronavirus infections were registered in Syria, while one case has passed away.
The Ministry said in a statement to SANA that the infections’ toll registered in Syria reached at 1327, of which 385 cases have recovered and 53 ones have passed away.
