By photos, researcher documents more than 100 archeological sites in Sweida

Sweida, SANA – Shedding light on the civilized and historical heritage of Sweida province is a goal to which the researcher, Kamal Shofani, seeks as he has documented for 15 years the archeological sites where he visited in all different areas in the province.

Head of Archeological committee at the al-Adeyat Association told SANA reporter that he monitored with photos the most important archeological sites in order to document them through tours which were organized by the association to the temples and buildings which date back to historical eras from the beginning of the Stone Age.

He added that his work, along with the efforts of other researchers interested in ruins, shed light on the important archeological sites in the province and put them on Syrian tourist map to be destinations for the tourists.
