Tartous, SANA-Comfort and calmness are the demand for every human being, this feeling is emanating in the souls of visitors of Zahid village in Akkar’s plain in Tartous, which enjoys wide green spaces and beautiful nature.
Various types of crops are planted in the village fields, according to teacher Ali Barhoum who told SANA reporter that the most important of which are potatoes in addition to protected crops and different seasons of vegetables such as eggplant, pepper, cucumber, and protected tomatoes, which are irrigated from artesian wells in which they are added in addition to irrigation networks from Al-Basel Dam.
Sarut river passes through the village, that is administratively affiliated to al–Dikkeh town and 30 km away from Tartous, according to Barhoum, pointing out that it is famous for two poultry and cattle establishments that extend over an area of approximately 350 hectares.
