Damascus, SANA – The Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry said that Sharifa 2 and Sharifa 104 natural gas wells have been put into production, which increases daily production of gas by around a million cubic meters.
In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry said that the two wells were connected to the gas network in a record time of 15 days, and this was done in order to meet the increasing demand for gas to power electricity plants.
The Ministry said this additional gas production should have a positive impact on the state of electric power feed.
