President Putin underlines need for preserving Syria stability and unity

Sochi, SANA-Russian President, Vladimir Putin, underlined the need for preserving Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, calling for the departure of all foreign, illegitimate troops from the country.

“It is not possible to have permanent stability in Syria without respecting Syria’s stability and unity and this stance is essential for Russia, Putin said at a press conference with Head of Turkish Regime, Recep Tayyib Erdogan on Tuesday.

He reiterated the importance of finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria, saying that only the Syrians have the right to determine the future of their country, pointing out to the necessity of the work of the Committee of discussing the constitution.

Putin called for not hindering the return of Syrian refugees to their country.
