Tehran, SANA-Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Abbas Mousavi, reiterated his country’s support to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria, based on respecting its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Iran supports a political process to solve the crisis in Syria, and it doesn’t see the military actions to represent a way for the solution, but the solution comes through dialogue among all sides with respect for national sovereignty,” Mousavi said in a statement.
He hoped the upcoming meeting of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution, at the end of this month, would be a starting point to take basic steps in that process that will provide a solution to the crisis in the country.
