Damascus, SANA- Holding the 61st Damascus International Fair gives the massage to a world that Syria is on the right track to rebuilding all that was destroyed by terrorism and that Syrian economy is recovering.
A number of measures have been announced by the various ministries and bodies concerned with organizing the Fair to ensure its success and achieve its objectives, including coordination among all the ministries and private sectors.
Arrangements for the Fair also including increasing entrance and exits gates for visitors, and setting aside a gate for official delegations, guests, businessmen, and journalists, as well as increasing the timeframe for transporting visitors by train to the Fairgrounds, in addition to devising a comprehensive media plan to cover all the Fair’s activities, with emphasis on shedding light on traditional handicrafts and industries.
The activities accompanying the fair will include a private lottery, economic seminars, business meetings, art festival, children’s theater and games.
New countries are participating in the fair this year among which Algeria, as Lebanon on the other hand will have the largest reserved fair stand among all the participating Arab countries, which will cover 920 square meters.
24 Arab and foreign countries have confirmed their participation in the fair so far with pavilions of 6772 thousand square meters, while the fair pavilions of the local participating bodies will cover 71961 thousand square meters, including public and private sectors.
The 61st edition of Damascus International Fair is due to be launched on August 28 until September 6 under the slogan “From Damascus to the World.”
