Moscow, SANA- Grand Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmad Badereddin Hassoun on Wednesday discussed with Head of Russian Council of Muftis Shaikh Rawi Ainuddin prospects to develop cooperation between the Fatwa houses in Syria and Russia.
The two sides discussed ways to protect the youths and prevent them from joining the terrorist and extremist organizations which claim that they are Muslims.
Ways to enhance cooperation in the domain of religious education, exchanging scientific and teaching experiences and developing the curriculum were also on the table.
In a joint interview with SANA reporter, Mufti Hassoun said that the goal behind the meeting and the joint work between the Fatwa houses in Syria and Russia is to establish Islamic schools and universities that will produce a generation of peace that doesn’t create wars and evil.
For his part, Mufti Ainuddin asserted the unity and sovereignty of the Syrian territories.
