Al-Moallem arrives in Muscat to discuss regional developments, relations

Muscat, SANA- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem arrived in Muscat on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, heading a delegation to discuss various issues of mutual interest.

The Minister’s visit came upon an invitation of Omani Minister for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi to hold talks with senior Omani officials on ways to develop and enhance bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and a number of regional and international issues.

Al-Moallem was received by the Omani Foreign Minister, senior officials of the ministry, Dr. Bassam Saif Eddin al-Khatib, the Syrian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman and members of the Embassy.

On the sidelines of the visit, the new headquarters of the Syrian Arab Republic’s Embassy will be inaugurated in Muscat.

Minister al-Moallem visited Oman in August of 2015 while Minister Alawi visited Syria in October of 2015.
