Tehran, SANA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Ali Khamenei reiterated Iran’s support to Syria in its war against terrorism.
Khamenei, meeting Syrian Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed, said he is proud of the steadfastness of President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian people and army.
He added that if the leaders and the peoples in the region remain committed to the Resistance, there is nothing the enemy can do, noting that victory belongs to the people who believe in it the most, therefore it is our duty to defend the Islamic unity and put away all grudges.
Khamenei asked Minister al-Sayyed to convey his greetings to President al-Assad, highly appreciating the role of Minister and scholars in enhancing the Islamic unity and confronting Zionist schemes.
For his part, Minister al-Sayyed conveyed President al-Assad’s greetings to Khamenei and his gratitude to Iran’s stances in support of Syria.
He noted that the visit stresses the message of Islam as a message of unity to defend the Islamic values and remain in the Resistance axis.
