Amman, SANA- Syrian women’s handball team beat the Lebanese team 26-18 in their third match within the second West Asian Women’s Handball Championship held in the Jordanian capital of Amman.
The team won its first game against Qatar 27-24 and lost to Jordan 19-27 in the second one.
The Syrian team will meet its Iraqi and Iranian counterpart on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
In 2016, the first edition of the tournament, which was held in a one-phase league system, was hosted by Doha where the Qatari team won the title after beating Jordan.
