Damascus, SANA – Health Minister Nizar Yazigi discussed on Thursday with chargé d’affaires at the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus Riad Hassoun al-Tai the possibility of enhancing cooperation in the medical field.
The Minister said the health sector continues to provide medical, therapeutic, and medicinal services to the citizens in all areas, in spite of terrorists’ targeting of the sector’s institutions and staff, adding that the medicine factories also continue to produce most kinds of the local market’s needs, except those for chronic diseases and tumors, with some are being exported to several countries.
For his part, al-Tai expressed his country’s readiness to discuss all kinds of cooperation with the Syrian side, highlighting the Iraqi doctors’ confidence in the quality and the appropriate price of Syrian medicines.
