Army’s Chief of Staff visits military units in Homs

Homs, SANA- Upon the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the army and armed forces, President Bashar al-Assad, the army’s Chief of Staff, Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub, paid a field visit on Thursday to a number of military units in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

During the tour, Gen. Ayoub, who was accompanied by a number of officers, inspected the field situation in the eastern countryside of Homs and the soldiers’ work conditions.

General Ayoub met the field commanders in a number of posts along the direction of the Fourth Station where he was briefed on a detailed explanation about the combatant attitude and the nature of duties carried out by the army forces against ISIS terrorist organization.

He also visited T-4 air force base, meeting a number of pilots and technicians there and listening to the conditions of their tasks, appreciating their courage and their prominent role in destroying the ISIS gatherings.

General Ayoub also visited several military positions on Jub al-Jarah, al-Masu’dyia direction, meeting the soldiers in Ashoumariya Mountains and hailing their courage in fighting ISIS terrorists and foiling their attempts to attack the villages surrounding the region.
