Lavrov: Syria is an important and reliable partner on the world stage

Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Syria is an important and reliable partner on the world stage, and Russia has been able to eliminate the roots of terrorism in all its territories with it, affirming that  bilateral relations between Syria and Russia will be maintained at all levels.

Lavrov said during the opening of a photo exhibition on Friday at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry as part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russian-Syrian relations, “We are living through a difficult period due to the United States’ challenge to establish a new world order, and the West is seeking to maintain its hegemony at the expense of other peoples, but it will fail in that.”

For his part, Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow, Bashar al-Jaafari, confirmed that What distinguishes the bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the Syrian Arab Republic is their permanent growth and development without any problems or obstacles at any phase.

“Today I am very proud of the opening of this exhibition by the Russian Foreign Minister dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Syrian Arab Republic”, al-Jaafari said

Syrian Ambassador pointed out that the photos that exist today are very distinctive and are part of the rich archive held by the ministers, as each photo tells a story and presents an important occasion from the memories of occasions that indicate our friendship.
