Damascus, SANA-Two high-level delegations from Syria and Turkey held on Thursday at the Bab al-Hawa border crossing an expanded working session within the framework of completing the steps to implement the memorandum of understanding regarding the reactivation of road transport between the two countries.
The session included a field tour of the Bab al-Hawa crossing facilities, including extensive technical and administrative discussions on the details of the transit agreement and its implementation mechanisms, particularly those related to the movement of trucks and commercial vehicles between the two countries, in addition to legislative obligations, customs facilities, and procedures for granting visas to drivers.
The two sides agreed to establish a timetable for implementing the provisions of the memorandum and to activate the Syrian-Turkish Joint Road Transport Committee, in preparation for the launch of the trial operation of the line in the near future, after the necessary technical and logistical arrangements are completed.
