Syria and France discuss launching Radio Monte Carlo broadcast from Damascus

Damascus, SANA- Information Minister Dr. Hamza al-Mustafa discussed with the Chargé d’Affaires of the French Embassy in Damascus, Jean-Baptiste Favre, the possibility of launching Radio Monte Carlo International’s broadcast from the capital, Damascus.

During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities for enhanced media cooperation and the potential to benefit from French expertise in developing Syria’s media sector.

Dr. al-Mustafa emphasized the importance of engaging with successful international experiences, praising the historic and cultural ties between Syria and France and their role in fostering intercultural dialogue through media platforms.

The Ministry of Information is working to diversify media offerings, promote cultural openness, and strengthen the infrastructure of Syria’s media industry. In this context, on June 30, the ministry signed a memorandum of understanding with al-Maha International Company aimed at establishing the “Damascus Gate” Media and Art Production City.
